Orla Uan is the story of a lamb who befriends a young boy called Ruairí from the area of Cruach Mhárthain in the Irish speaking area of Ballyferriter in west Kerry.  It is the first book in a series of stories by local author Eibhlín Uí Iarlaithe about the adventures of Ruairí and his friend, Orla the lamb.  Eibhlín, a former primary school teacher is also the author of two poetry books for children, Na Buataisí Buí (2009) agus Mo Ghúna Síoda Buí (2010).
